Dear Families,

Welcome to North Bend STEM Academy. We are proud to partner with you in your child’s education and honored that you have chosen to be part of our founding school community.

At North Bend STEM Academy, we believe students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and challenged. Our school is built around high academic expectations, caring relationships, and a commitment to supporting the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. Inspired by the compass in our logo, our team works every day to help students find their direction, build confidence, and grow into curious, capable learners.

Our K–5 academic program emphasizes strong foundations in reading, math, science, and STEM, with extended instructional time in English Language Arts and math to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed. Through hands-on learning, engaging instruction, and meaningful STEM experiences, students develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a love of learning that prepares them for the future.

Just as important as academics is the environment we create. Our classrooms are structured, welcoming, and focused on respect and responsibility. Teachers build strong relationships with students, use consistent routines, and provide thoughtful support so every child feels known and valued. Daily physical education, enrichment opportunities, and social-emotional learning help students stay healthy, focused, and connected.

We are committed to being a reliable, positive partner for families. We work to ensure students and families feel supported throughout the school day and beyond.

Community School

North Bend STEM Academy is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by Charter School Specialists, which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high-performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States. Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school. Community schools are tuition-free, open to all students in the county, and focused on meeting student needs for success. Community schools are among the top-performing schools in the nation. Founded in 2014, ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The leadership team at ACCEL Schools has a combined 1000+ years of experience as global school management operators with expertise in curriculum research and design, assessment, student support services, and education consulting. Our entire team fundamentally believes that all children deserve a great education and students should be supported as they pursue a wide variety of post-secondary options.
